The situation in Yemen is increasingly dire. A decade of conflict, economic collapse and blockade has pushed the country to the brink of famine. Over 20 million men, women and children—more than two-thirds of the population—now depend entirely on humanitarian aid to survive. Hospitals have shut down for lack of fuel and supplies, water pumps lie idle, and cholera and malnutrition run rampant. Families have lost homes, livelihoods and hope.

Why Yemen needs your help
  • Protracted conflict: Fighting between the internationally recognized government, Houthi forces and regional actors has destroyed vital infrastructure—roads, hospitals, water systems—and displaced over 4 million people.
  • Economic collapse: The rial has lost nearly 90 percent of its value, wages have vanished, and markets are empty. Even basic staples like flour and oil are unaffordable for most families.
  • Health emergencies: Yemen faces the world’s worst cholera outbreak in recent memory, along with repeated dips into famine conditions. Clinics lack medicine, fuel and staff.
  • Water crisis: Blockades and damaged pumps mean that 14 million Yemenis lack reliable access to safe drinking water, leading to disease and dehydration.
  • Vulnerable children: Nearly 2 million children under five suffer from acute malnutrition—and every ten minutes a child dies from preventable causes.

Al-Ianah’s local partners are on the ground in Sana’a, Hodeidah, Aden and beyond, running kitchens, mobile health clinics and distribution hubs. But we can’t do it without you.

How your support brings relief
  • Hot Meals
Community kitchens and mobile teams deliver freshly cooked lunches and dinners to displaced families and health-care facilities.
  • Bread Packs
Daily bread distributions provide sustenance when markets are empty and shops are closed.
  • Food Packs
Essential grocery bundles—rice, lentils, oil, sugar and spices—that keep families fed for weeks.
  • Water Tanks
Durable water-storage units and filtration kits restore access to clean water for entire neighbourhoods.
  • Malnutrition Packs
Therapeutic nutrition kits and ready-to-use supplements that save children’s lives and support recovery.
  • Orphan Sponsorship
Regular stipends, school supplies and psychosocial care that give orphaned children security, education and hope.

Your compassion today means life tomorrow. Every contribution—Zakat, Sadaqah or Lillah—helps us fuel generators, stock clinics and bring food and water where it’s needed most.
